Thursday: no swimming, 3rd HP movie

walkitoutA. had a somewhat better day, but still melted down at the end. Swimming was moved to a different location but included the offer to cancel with no penalty, so we took that. It was going to be slightly further away, and because it was in Burlington, the traffic coming home as likely to be nightmarish. Seemed like a good day to just enjoy not doing anything at all.
We did go to McDonalds and used the coupon for a free small fry that had been on the board for months, and which A. persisted in remembering and asking about. It was pretty busy; lots of people seem to go there on half day with their kids.
We watched the third Harry Potter movie. I am absolutely certain I never saw this one in the movie theater. I remembered the book, but none of the movie seemed at all familiar. I think I saw the first two, tho. It will be interesting to find out again which ones I have and have not seen, I guess! (Of course, if I find out that yeah, I saw it, that would be pretty funny, to have that comprehensively forgotten it.)
Apparently Amazon had a very good 4th quarter. How... completely unsurprising. I was really impressed by how rapidly they fulfilled orders throughout the holiday season. Turns out that ramping up their own delivery service really helped a lot. I had been pretty skeptical of that choice, and my skepticism (mostly of their ability to manage all that additional labor) was entirely unjustified.
