This is one of my favorite days to inflict on visitors: drive to Salem, park in the museum place garage, walk over to the Corwin house, walk around and be grossed out by corpse medicine explanations. Walk over to Flying Saucer. Eat awesome pizza with vegan cheese (in this case, I had pulled jackfruit and mushrooms — they had regular cheese). Get a pic of the visitors at the Sabrina statue. Walk down Essex — a lot of shops closed on a cold weekday in November. Bummer! Stop at Jodi Bee Bites in Witch City Mall on the way back to the car and get coffee and DF baked goodies. Drive home.

I read a few pages of Gideon the Ninth while browsing at the bookstore. I rarely regret reading pages of a book, but wow, that is kind of a horrific book. If you are into that kind of thing, it really glues itself to your brain, which is a good feature of you like the book but not so good if it being creeped out is Not Your Thing. Being creeped out is Not My Thing. But, you know, if you love horror, and you have not tried Tamsyn Muir, I am reasonably certain you are missing out.

It was supposed to be date night tonight, however, that did not happen. While T. made it through the day, he was pretty sick so we sent A. with the sitter. We ate the last two Sunbasket meals since we stayed in. We could have left T. home alone, but I was not feeling good about that choice.
