I made waffles this morning. Yum!

I took T. to track. We had lunch at Paparazzi.

I finished the book about continental drift by Oreskes. It was really interesting; I posted a review. I am going to send it to my friend K. I think she might find it interesting in a lot of the same ways I did (she is much nicer to physicists than I am, and a much more careful thinker).

I had a nice convo with R. (High Priestess). I have been thinking a lot about time management / personal organization, lately trying to wrap my brain around the gendered aspects of what to me is a shared space, and which line extends in both directions (so someone who starts in stuff management will often then produce something about time management and vice versa), but which is all too often treated as separate topics. My preference is to read about stuff management from a process perspective, but I am starting to wonder if that preference is actually a problem. I am also starting to believe that delegation is another gap space in this terrain.

I have selected the next paper tome to tackle: _Framing the Early Middle Ages_, which I have had since 2007 or thereabouts and only ever read the introduction. It is enormous. We shall see how it goes!

I deleted a lot of email today. I probably should delete more.

I unboxed some of A.'s birthday presents: the wooden puzzle set, and handed the night light to R. to unbox. That thing is super cool: a flying unicorn light that has a remote control with all kinds of settings on it. I rearranged the box of books that I have dislodged from shelves to be donated, so as to make space for some of A.'s birthday presents.
