walkitoutI went for a walk with M. I had a Dutch lesson! That was fun, if a little chaotic, as child care is still stabilizing there. But it was nice to see everyone. We went for a brief walk, too.
And there was a lot more walking for trick or treating from 6-8. Almost no one came to our house, which is unusual, especially since the weather was so nice -- I blame the dropoff in births that happened in the immediate wake of the Great Recession. But who knows, really!
I went around the block with my new friend I., her son S., and both my kids. S. had a motorized scooter. T. had the tricycle. A. had a regular scooter. Lots and lots of candy. We had a really nice time.
With T. in middle school, I can already see the day when I'm only going out with A., but I'll enjoy this while it lasts. She was a pink princess again (we've gotten really good at finding dresses with enough space to wear leggings and a thermal shirt underneath, so she doesn't have to wear a coat over the dress); he was a goblin from Gringott's bank.
