We have survived the storm with one power outage of an hour or two duration. The trees are limned with snow against a still cloud dark sky, producing one of those visual effects that make New England miraculous, almost miraculous enough to make up for its year round toughness and irascibility.

Take care of yourself, whether alone or together. This is one of the most challenging times of year, however much we cherish and revere it and its meaning to Family and country.
