I'm trying to find a source for a study about genealogical interest increasing while genealogical knowledge decreased (and the latter, IIRC, was defined by whether you knew the name of at least one great-grandparent). In the meantime, consider this one of those likely to be ETA'd posts where I collect notes on a topic:

Pamela Drake's master's thesis on genealogical interest and behavior. Kinda cool.

Kylie Veale's website does not appear to be currently functioning, but I did find her research proposal as well.

Finally, here's what I was looking for, but I'm going to keep looking for related things because, jeez, why wouldn't I?

Okay, I just tried E. on this (naming great-grandparents), and she's been paying less attention than I thought. She remembered one great-grandparent, the one she's named after.

Hi! Thanks for finding my research. I'm no longer a research student, though would be happy to provide any further information you would like. Regards, Kylie [kylie.veale.at.gmail.com]
