We took her to Parker's Maple Barn today, and stopped at some of the Treasures of Brookline (ha! new town festival), including the covered bridge. She was a little mystified why we were bothering (there is no good reason, but I ran into C., and may see her again at the book group if I actually read the book I'm supposed to).
Went to Toyland yesterday and bought Teddy some more toys, including the Castle Pounder, and a lacing/beads thing. Also the Lamaze Octopus (eight legs! eight notes! no electronics! Super cool), and some relatively cool alphabet blocks. Not great -- they aren't painted or carved, so I'm still waiting for the perfect set, but these are the right size and have good printing on them, so they'll do as a placeholder.
I'm thinking of spending several hundred dollars on some fairly obscure titles about sleep from Amazon. I've _been_ thinking about this for twenty four hours now (almost) so I think it is actually going to happen. Trust me, you'll be hearing all about it, mostly in the form of my usual ranting about how asinine our cultural standards are.
