This is so stupid.

She pumped and dumped over one glass of wine and she believes if you're too drunk to drive, you're too drunk to nurse.

Idiot.

Now, to be fair, she stopped drinking when she started trying to conceive. This is _really_ important to do and a lot of people don't. The one time gestationally when one binge can cause lasting harm to a baby is during that before-you-know-you-are phase.

What to make of this, tho:

"They say that if you’re too drunk to drive, you’re too drunk to nurse. Seems like a pretty good rule to me. And so I limit my intake to a small glass of wine immediately after nursing her and that’s pretty much it.

Is that it? I’m 33. It baffles me to think that I won’t be good and drunk again until I’m 50."

I gotta say, I'm all about the boobage, but nursing for _17 years_? No thank you.

As far as I can see, the lady has a drinking problem. (Suggesting sex and finding out they've already had sex? That is SCARY. Obviously she wasn't in any condition to consent.) I would not expect her to make much sense on the issue. That said, of course in part she's mirroring generally-held prejudices in the US that *also* don't make any sense.
