walkitoutR. is running the robot vacuum in the upstairs hall, and after I did some laundry he ran the self-clean cycle. Household tasks proceeding! I also cleaned the mirror in the upstairs bath and ran a brush through the toilet in there. Perhaps the robovac will make it into that room at some point.
I watched an Ashley Gavin comedy special over on YT — the Chicago one from ‘23. It was fun, altho also really weird because of all the 9/11 stuff. It works really well. I’m used to seeing her crowd work videos on TikTok, and obviously this is different but I love it still.
ETA: More cleaning happened. I cooked the clam strips. My allergies came roaring back (I do not think this is related to the clam strips — I think this means I’m over the cold). I turned on an actual TV! I didn’t just watch stuff on my ipad. I tried Robby Hoffman on Netflix, and bailed out at the 27 minutes, twins if 28 minutes, because that was not funny to me at all. I tried Tom Papa’s Home Free, and didn’t even make it 10 minutes it. It felt repetitive and boring. Literally, he repeats so many things twice with slightly different tones. This is probably genuinely funny to someone, just not to me. But I eventually landed on Ali Wong’s Single Lady and enjoyed the whole thing. I’ve watched at least one of her specials in the past and enjoyed it, so I was happy to see another.
I’m probably going to branch out from comedy specials to something else, probably soon, but it’s very exciting to be watching TV on TV again.
ETA: But not today! I watched Jordan Jensen’s Take Me With You and it was really disorientingly weird and at the same time awesome.
