Arm Day and Day of Deletion
Feb. 7th, 2026 04:42 pmR. drove himself to the airport (I did get him a parking reservation) because I didn’t feel like driving back from the airport in the snow. He has landed safely and experienced a Bob Marley themed Uber. Sounds like fun!
Meanwhile, it’s arm day in the Wonderland that is Snowy New England. I’ve gone three rounds with it, and I’ve got maybe one more to go. It has stopped snowing, so there’s that.
M. came for a visit but we did not walk.
I had a nice phone call.
A. and I discussed how to access her FB account so we can shift the Portal Go from being linked to my account to being linked to hers. This would be better, because I never use it, since it stopped being able to do Zoom.
I’ve been deleted email, files and photos from my ipad. Mostly this is related to storage woes on my old primary email — I’ve been downloading the signed reqs and uploading them to my google drive, and deleting them from email and from files on the ipad. Some of this is directed to reducing backup size as well. I really should do my phone next, but I only have a certain amount of focused attention for this kind of task. Also, as I’m deleting photos, they are mostly screenshots that are part of my extremely sloppy record keeping. If I buy a plane ticket or order something online, I’ll screen shot the order until I’m sure it has made its way to an email confirmation. For a variety of reasons, a lot of the order confirmations are for things I ordered / paid for for other people. In many cases, that brings a smile to my face (seeing Book of Mormon with Priestess! When TKB came to visit! The photos of him learning to drive!) but unfortunately not in all cases. I’d hate to let my tendency to TQM my life extend to drawing back from helping people because they have on occasion been unpleasant to me. And also, man. This year.
Off to shovel and think about it some more, I guess.
ETA: Shoveling abandoned and I had some dinner: sweet potatoes with marshmallows and a salad. I also finished off a chocolate bar and had some peanut butter bagel bites, while watching David Nihill: Documented. That was pretty fun!
