Saturday was very pleasant

I had a delightful phone chat with JC.
I made blondies.
We ate leftovers, for the most part. Today I had some of the chipotle tabasco sauce on stuffing (dressing?) with cranberry sauce. Mmmmm. I had used egg and sausage, diced ends of A.’s sandwich bread, a bunch of herbs and veg. The result was delightful. I had a turkey sandwich for dinner and it was also wonderful. And of course more pie. So. Much. Pie.
I read _Rogues Lie_ by Jenny Schwartz, and the Caldryn Parliament series continues to be delightful. There is a not too dragged out miscommunication between Justus and Vanda that is actually really believable considering what they went through in the previous book. Maisie has her baby and Vanda gets to visit. Vanda learns how her dad is !!!! All kinds of fun developments. Giddy has so much fun with social media.
A. wanted to know if there was anything funny in Matt Levine’s columns lately, so I showed her the food column entry that was so hilarious, and then, because she’d never seen Scooby Do, I found an old episode on YT and we watched it together. Cultural background!
