Learning about dampers

walkitoutThe AC caught up overnight once it got cool enough, so this may really be a capacity problem coping with the very high heat. But it could be a damper problem. R. talked me through looking at them and then pressing the button and trying to turn them manually and no go. I couldn’t get it to turn.
A. slept on the first floor on the sofa bed; I went to the attic to sleep where R. normally does. I should have just done that as soon as I realized what the problem was. Oh well! I’ll blame the heat for addling my brains.
I had a good phone call with J. for about an hour. He described watching The Birds.
