Tuesday is still raining

walkitoutI posted stuff to FB Marketplace on Sunday and three people were going to pick stuff up Monday and Tuesday and every last one of them ghosted me. I’m a little bummed, because one of them was going to pick up at 7:30 am and I set the alarm for 7:20 am. Not cool to ghost me at that time of the morning.
But that’s fine, because three people have come by today, picked up 2 of the things posted on Sunday, and a thing I just posted a few minutes ago. So the magnetic board from the upstairs hallways is gone, as is the darkroom equipment and a harmony universal remote still in the box.
I got email today from the person who is very persistently trying to sign T. up for DDS and related services, which we decided when he was a senior in high school didn’t make sense for him. So weird. I tried calling, but she did not answer (she didn’t know my phone number so hard to blame her). I drafted a couple replies before just sending one. I don’t want to discourage her, because it can be hard to get through that process and a proactive person being pushy about helping can really make a difference and also I just don’t think this makes sense for him / us.
Markets are weirdly optimistic this morning. I’m skeptical. But we’ll see. I think we’re going to be living through a whole lot of reality TV style yay boo yay boo yay boo until we all snooze or get frazzled and consciously choose a better way to spend our days.
