It was cold in the morning, and snowed. Then it warmed up and rained. Because I was on the phone with J having a delightful convo at 1 pm, the only window when it was warm and not precipitating, I had a visit with M and no walk. Oh well!

12ish years ago, R. had a broken arm and couldn’t rotate his wrist but wanted to still try to work. I bought him a really weird keyboard so he could type without messing up his arm. Once he healed, we stored it. We ran across it in the attic room today, so I listed it on FB marketplace and someone is going to come get it on Friday. They have carpal tunnel and some back problems and we are all hoping it helps them. Worth a shot, anyway.

I moved the speaker boxes from the attic room (which needs to be emptied) to the attic-under-the-eaves which is accessible from my office. I moved the artificial trees out of the way, and saw we had stored some camping air mattresses in there. Hunh. I removed them, because we are also getting rid of camping equipment (altho not today, so the air mattresses will be staged somewhere for a couple days). I got the speaker boxes in, then put the trees back into that space. I recycled a couple empty boxes that used to contain fairy lights, but I sent the fairy lights off a while back.

R. took a load off to Savers in the van while I picked up A. and took her to therapy.

Therapy was interesting. A. has somehow absorbed the idea that she isn’t important. This is obviously incorrect. I think she knows that now. Her time in public school did more damage than I had realized.

A half tab of dramamine appears to be the right amount to keep her from having motion sickness symptoms when driving to / from Burlington, which is great. We’re talking about getting her out to the new house sometime in the next little while, so she can see it In Process.

R. and I went to Woods Hill Table. Fun!

Tomorrow is a run to HG with furniture and stuff. Then reassess and see what goes out the door next. Probably I will start listing lego on FB.

I had a brief but great convo with my sister on the way to pick up A. from school. They will be joining us at DLR later this year (woot!). We talked a bit at a very high level about what order her Big Trip will be with respect to moving. That was really helpful. Since she is thinking move The Stuff, then Big Trip, then arrive, that gives me _months_ to get The Stuff settled in, identify missing furniture, and propose / acquire it before they arrive. I also asked her about window treatments, and she deferred to B., but said she wanted them to be cleanable. That flummoxed me, and she seemed to have some amount of commitment to cleanability without specifying what that meant. And she, like me, basically never cleans them anyway (obviously we dust blinds). I know better than to attempt to launder anything with a lining, a pattern or an intense color (well, not without being super careful, anyway!), so I suppose the alternative would be shaking them, brushing them, vacuuming them or conceivably steaming them. I did a little research, discovered that Miele has an attachment that is better than what comes with their regular vacuums, and ordered one. Maybe I’ll give this a try. More like not. But the attachment is supposed to be really good for soft furniture and stairs, which would be awesome. The default upholstery attachment is not awesome on the stairs and honestly neither is anything else. Hope springs eternal; I’ll try to remember to post a review when I get the thing. I think it’s the STB 101.

I also ordered H. three Waveform bulbs.

Often when I post these summaries, I’m a little surprised that I did so much, because when I start, I’m always thinking, did I even do anything today? I mean, there was some laundry. And by the end of the summary I’m like, how the hell did I forget all that?
