Decluttering updates
Jan. 27th, 2025 11:21 pmI’ve been posting things free on FB marketplace to get them out of the house. The Dakboard went quick, and I wondered if that was a fluke, and it was, but not in the way I expected. That one actually took a surprisingly long time to get a message, and only one person expressed interest (they showed up to get it, so it worked out great). The Schwinn exercise bike got faster responses, and more than one person interested. The Taga, tho, whoa, that got messages. And I just posted an old apple monitor, and THAT got immediate responses, and a really fast plan to pick it up tomorrow. They didn’t even ask if it powers on still.
This is very convenient. I have super high confidence that these things are all going to people who will really use them and are happy not to have to pay to get them. I am very grateful not to have to mess around trying to ship them safely and deal with complaints if things are not as expected. It’s just awesome all around. Plus, less stuff in the basement / attic that has to be moved repeatedly in coming months/ years.
I’m still waiting to hear back from the library about which lego they want, but honestly, I’m gonna start listing the lego just to see how fast that stuff gets picked up.
