Thursday: light bulb

walkitoutFirst, the literal light bulb. I’ve become increasingly frustrated with the weird behavior of a couple Hue bulbs in the house, so I swapped the one in my office for my last Amazon bulb. It took a few rounds to figure out how to stop the Hue bulb from repopulating from the Hue app, but after that everything was great. I’ve got the old name on the new bulb and it is working consistently. Fingers crossed this lasts for a while.
I got a phone call from J. at the builder about the nature of the contract with the green roof folks we’ve been working with. It’s a design and consultation contract (I checked) and there’s nothing in the contract about them actually building it. The builder was planning on doing the implementation, but now the green roof folks are saying we can’t use their drawings to build off of. And I’m like, okay, sure, I see that the contract does not specify buildable drawings, just generic design and consulting. And also. Fuck. So, another little light bulb went off: boy, I sure didn’t make great choices early on in this process. OTOH, whatever. It’s the green roof. This will work out one way or the other, and the only part I care about is that it must not void the underlying roof’s warranty.
It was a relatively quiet day. I did some laundry and puttered around the house a bit. T.’s coming over this weekend, so I made up his bed.
