A. went to school and it went well. Yay!
I took her to therapy, and that was great. Double yay!
I went over the door schedule for tomorrow’s meeting and we have a list of things to talk about. Also, I apparently really need to get the millwork figured out because they want to start getting commitments from us on what we want before they do more detailed planning / pricing. Which is fine. They are going to be doing hella less than what was on the estimate, because wow am I frosty about a lot of millwork and millwork adjacent stuff at this point.
In yesterday’s meeting, we talked about what I had wanted from the kitchen, and how I wasn’t getting it, and what we could do about that. As a result of that, I wound up shuffling the corridor side of the kitchen. We’re getting rid of the weird partial walls, which helps with using the dining room space and makes it possible to adjust the opening from the kitchen onto the corridor and have it line up better. This may also help with the opening to the pantry. I finally talked R. into getting rid of the remaining 2 seats at the kitchen counter peninsula (woot!), so I can continue that wall, which makes the space in “Reception” far more useful. And I’m now really close to having a fully enclosed kitchen (just put some actual doors in those two openings and I’m there).
