Saturday: AJR Maybe Man Tour

I slept in. I did not go for a walk. I showered and got breakfast then not too much later got lunch. I talked to my sister and collected some input from her on her kitchen. T. and I drove to the station and rode the train to North Station. We had dinner at Tavern in the Square. We bought shirts. There were two openers — Almost Monday, which was okay, and Mxmtoon, who is amazing. AJR continues to be a really fun show, but wow, the scale here vs. Brighton Music Hall in 2017 is kind of astonishing. Fun stuff! Good crowd. No explicit mental health messaging (vs. Fallout Boy, say). Younger kids, lots of parents and lots of people adopting the Jack headwear and generally emanating I’m Weird So What vibe, which I wholly endorse.

T. and I talked a bunch, which was nice.

I listened to some Odd Lots and Money Stuff on the train on the way home. It was an hour wait until the train, so I read some of Empress of the Nile.

I worked on the kitchens, bar and pantry slides. This is just a lot to do. It’s fun, and it’s going well, but wow, it is a lot.
