Sunday: It’s Not My Fault

So, I decided to go over the hardware on the door schedule. I was just going to tell the architect(‘s team) that I wanted Emtek instead of Baldwin, and I wanted Basel on Urban Modern, except in a few places. And then I saw the rose gold finish option, and fiendish thoughts of special handles in Pink World arose unbidden in my mind.

But rather than write an extensive exceptions list, I figured, let’s just go over the entire fucking thing, and talk out the finishes with my sister and whoever else might be interested. We’ve got a little time, and no one knows I’m doing this and the order won’t be placed for a while.

First, I’ve got a dummy knob specified on a swing door between a bedroom and its ensuite bathroom. What. Made it a privacy leverset.

Then, I’ve got this really weird flush mount ring pull hardware mostly but not exclusively on pocket doors? I don’t really even know what those are for, and it took me about 15 minutes of head scratching and google image searching to realize, oh, that’s cabinet hardware and/or boat hatch hardware. That is most definitely NOT pocket door hardware. What. The. Actual. Fuck.

I wonder what else I’m gonna find in here.
