Friday: field trip did not work out
May. 24th, 2024 05:13 pmSo, I’m now working on the lighting schedule. R. took A. to school while I got a walk with M. before it got super hot. And then I went down, picked up A. drove her to Horn Lake, watched her get more and more distressed, and then just said fuck it and took her home. It’s air conditioned here and much more pleasant.
I decided I should do something more organized and comprehensive than random links in a Note, so I started a Google Sheet, went to the conformance set, put together a list of rooms, and started filling in square footage so I could be sure I was getting roughly the right amount of lighting. I ordered a light meter, so I could see what we actually have around here at night, in terms of “normal lighting use”. Then I worked on transferring a lot of the things I’d picked from the Note to the Sheet. In the middle of this, I apparently decided that most of the Meyda Lighting picks were really not that exciting, or had size issues, or whatever, when looked at in the morning. Most other choices survived (and some of the Meyda choices have survived). So that’s an interesting development.
