Again, up at 7 for Genie and LL, and another at 10:30. At least I did not have to do a zoom meeting today.
After I had already bought Genie and Rise of the Resistance for five of us, J. texted to say he was ill (fever, so it was not just allergies) and could I get the kids and take them to the park. Sure, why not. I had already gotten Slinky Dog Dash and over the course of the morning I added Midway Mania. They arrived at the main building of GF when we did (we monorailed over) around 11:48, and we walked over and immediately onto the bus to HS, which was about to leave but waited for us.
Once in HS, we walked over to Star Tours and did it standby (stated 35, was under 30) and while in that line, I picked up a LL for it and we rode it a second time. Then we went to do Midway Mania, but the ride was down so we did Smugglers Run with the general LL. We got a photo of the four of us at the holochess board. We saw there was no one in the single rider line, we did that, too. Then we walked to the Brown Derby for our 2:30 pm lunch.
After lunch, we returned for Rise of the Resistance, then loitered in the outpost. We did Slinky Dog Dash and Tower of Terror and bought popcorn and headed to the bus. The bus was just about to leave when we got there. We rode it to the Polynesian, where we had to wait a bit for our reservation and then a bit more because they were running behind. R. met us for dinner.
After that, we monorailed to GF, where I bought J a refillable mug. I sent the kids back to their room with the mug filled with powerade zero grape and the coins and credits for J. Then I went back to the monorail and went to BLT (R. and A. had continued on without me). Laundry and A. took a shower.
As N. put it: it was the perfect day.
A said it seemed to go much better without J. I think J is pretty distressed by a lot of things, and this trip has been what has been helping him hold it all together and I just do not think any trip could possibly be enough to make up for the last year or so for him.
