New Years Eve: In Which We Return Home

walkitoutWe had a mid-day flight from MCO to BOS, which is maximally disruptive of lunchtime. OTOH, it is pretty nice in terms of have breakfast at a reasonable hour and kinda mosey on through the rental car return etc. Terminal C at MCO finally has really good signage and you can both pickup and return cars there so that’s much better than before.
The flight was on a smaller plane and for obscure reasons, despite having paid extra for nominally extra leg room, we were boarding group C and D, so we had to park our bags in the overhead a bit further back. That was a pain when we left, but it was fine.
My sister’s flight was delayed, but they eventually made it home as well.
Traffic to MCO and from BOS was minimal — I mean, it was a Sunday and NYE but middle of the day, so, fine.
We got some laundry done. I made A. a grilled cheese then R. and I went to NYAJ and had a drink and dinner. I had a burger, because I hadn’t hade one since we flew down on the 22nd. Weird to go on vacation at theme parks and then not eat a single burger. I mean, really weird. Not bad, just strange.
We’re headed back fairly soon, so I am already plotting what I will change about what I bring.
