Monday: half day, pie

walkitoutA. and I watched the last two episodes of Hawkeye. That went … interesting places. I enjoyed it immensely.
T. went apple picking yesterday and brought home a lot of apples. He wanted to make pie, in honor of his recently deceased grandfather (FIL) who liked pie. T. does not like pie. *shrug* Unfortunately, I gave T. an apple peeler that was much sharper than anticipated and which he used inappropriately, and now he’s got a big ole gouge in his thumb. I’ve done stuff like that. *sigh* If R. were home, I’d ask him where the butterfly bandages are, but we made do with a normal bandaid. We’ll take a look at it later.
A. wanted icing, like on cinnamon rolls, so I served pie to her and me with some of that. It was really good! The lattice top turned out pretty but overly sturdy and yet still somehow not adequately structural. *shrug* I learn by doing. Tastes fine, and not so sturdy anyone got hurt eating it, which is mostly what matters.
I had a delightful conversation with my friend A., and she told me that there is an Apple TV show called “Strange Planet” and it’s Nathan Pyle! I have no idea! I’m so excited already! Altho I don’t know if I still have a subscription. I’ll figure it out.
