R. has headed to Parker’s Maple Barn because we are out of maple syrup. Oh noes! A. had honey on her waffle, and commented that she is so used to the maple syrup she thinks that is what waffles taste like, and with the honey, her idea of the flavor of waffles evolved (my word).
I drove to the bank when it opened and deposited the check. I told R. that it was extremely clear to me that if I mailed the form before the check cleared, I would be mad for longer and I assumed he preferred calm and he agreed that he preferred calm. I really gotta say how wonderful it is understanding where my emotions come from, because then I can address what is driving the emotion instead of trying to manage / regulate / suppress it, or otherwise just wait with it. I can be calm _now_ instead of working for days to be calm later. So. Much. Better this way.
I’ve got a bunch of stuff to monitor today and nudge along: communicating with niece about getting her signed up for online first step in driver’s ed, making sure that T. has what he needs to get all the forms filled out for the fender bender on Saturday, calling the restaurant for Thursday’s birthday party, making sure the cake will actually happen for Thursday, contacting Roompot via chat to figure out how to get the deposit back from the Terherne stay (US does not do IBAN). But first! A walk with M. I already did the one mile loop by myself this morning.
ETA: I spent a big chunk of the day rereading. Buit I did also get through some minor business like paying a bill and similar.
