Thursday: sick kid, walk, decluttering

I did the long-ish walk by myself (came back over the path, so a little shorter than 3 miles).
I skipped walking with M., because my daughter A. came home sick around 10 a.m. No fever, sore throat, feeling like crap; the nurse called me and sounded kinda relieved that I was happy to come get her.
I’ve been decluttering mail (inbox and other mail folders). I did manage to get zoom switched over to the other email address.
I tried to switch Amazon, but there was an account associated with destination email (surprise), so I stopped, and attempted to log into that other account using the forgot email. But Amazon locked it, so I called Amazon and we had a little chat. That account was opened in 2017, had no orders, no address, no payment associated with it. So basically, someone started to set it up, but failed to complete. I can transition and it will orphan that account, no problems. I’ve been too chicken to follow through; maybe tomorrow.
I’ve been trying to get the three drawers in my closet excavated enough so that the top couple drawers would be travel-related things, and the bottom drawer off-season clothing. I think I finally have attained that goal today, so that was super exciting.
We got the second bid / budget / proposal on the house we are planning. Price range is super similar, but proposal has a lot less detail on it. I’m definitely going with the first one; I’m trying to avoid having to drive out and meet the second group of people because it’s such a waste of everyone’s time at this point. I had a phone call with the architect, and I think I figured out how to communicate clearly in a format that was shareable my perspective on the matter; fingers crossed we can move forward no later than Monday.
I’ve been kind of frustrated about my inability to make meaningful forward progress on my “second advice book” (the book formerly known as I Can’t Stop Thinking About Your Brother). I collected a bunch of apple Notes that I put together some months ago into a folder. I’m going to try to combine those with the google drive writing and see what I’ve got. I have to be getting closer to this thing. I’ve been thinking about it and talking to people about it and writing chapter drafts for _years_ now.
