Saturday: routine! Decluttering files

T. went to martial arts and presumably Vic’s. He came home for his piano lesson, which was in person and went well. Then he started laundry and went to work. I’m so proud of him!
A. got up without complaining and did a good job at her piano lesson.
R. did his piano lesson and went up to the 3rd floor to do a Zwyft event.
Meanwhile, I have been decluttering all those users manual files I went through looking for an answer to questions about the dishwasher. I was _so_ disappointed (files in multiple locations, once found, the user’s manual had no model number on it, etc.) that I decided to make it a Project to consolidate user manuals and eliminate as many as possible since we always go online anyway. Or at least, that’s what finally solves the problem.
So! First several rounds of plucking things I knew we did not own anymore. Two of these were put in the mail to other people that the reasonably valuable items had gone to. Otherwise, I just recycling the paper. If there were plastic bags (so many users manuals in plastic bags), I put those in plastic film recycling. Yay plastic film recycling.
Next! I searched online for the users manuals for things we do own. I created a Note and I collected these links in that Note. I mostly did this in order of size, so I could get rid of the largest volume first in case I was interrupted. I made a trip down to the garage because my bin for paper got full, which is a great sign. A few of the kitchen appliance quick starts / user manuals were _so_ helpful (hey, you can adjust the buzzer volume on the Breville countertop oven!) or whatever that I put them back onto the shelf in the kitchen with the few remaining cookbooks. Regular readers know that I’ve actually read some of these and even watched the video manual for the food processor.
I did eventually wind up with some paperwork for things that we do still own, and that were small enough I wasn’t that inclined to track down the links (also, maybe some items that I didn’t want to document links to the user manuals!). And at least one item that I would have been perfectly happy to link to but I am thinking pretty hard about giving that away if I can figure out who I should give it to and it would be nice to give the manual with it.
All that paper, in a big plastic bin, albeit not totally full, back into _one_ folder in _one_ location. Woot!
ETA: Also, I created an album for the April trip on Flickr, uploaded the photos the photographer sent a link to and also my cell phone photos including the escape room photos.
ETAYA:
A. and I started watching season 3 of The Mandalorian. Fun! But we did stop at 9 pm, which wound up being in the middle of episode 3. Fortunately, it was at a quiet moment in the narrative arc.
