I walked with M.
I did a one mile loop by myself.
Full day for the kids.
A. and I tried the first episode of Lower Decks and we were pretty horrified but stuck it out to the end. A. liked the art, the representation and the animation, but not the storyline. I was mostly in agreement with her.
We then tried Encounter at Farpoint, the first 2 episodes of TNG. That went over better, altho wow, while teenager me was entertained by Q, A. just thought he was a dickhead. And he was! She’s not wrong. We do like it better than TOS, however, we’re probably going to try some more first episodes of other ST products before committing to anything. This is kind of a fun tour!
R. and I went out to sushi lunch.
I pulled the packable poly puffer out to wear to lunch, and I’ve been making some small adjustments to what I have packed in my bags. I’m also starting to pack A.’s bags. T. has enough clothes at this point that he _could_ be packed at all times, and I’m trying to convince him to start doing that. It’s not necessary, but I feel like this could come in handy at some point.
Oh, and T. went over to the theater and got his schedule figured out. They’d scheduled him for shifts while he is at school, because the person who wound up setting the schedule up hadn’t looked at his availability at all. But it was fine — it’s all training shifts, so he is just going to show up when he can and finish it out. It’ll be fine. He stuck around to see the Tom Hanks movie, and got in for free, and free soda and popcorn since he’s now an employee, even tho he hasn’t had his first shift yet.
