4th day in the parks, Hollywood Studios

walkitoutI got a Rise of the Resistance and Slinky Dog Dash, both of which were late in the afternoon. The day before I snagged a reservation (finally!!!) for Brown Derby (woot!) for A. and me. We did Runaway Railway, then we did Star Tours twice and then we did Smuggler’s Run on single rider but hit a family of 4 followed by 2 groups of 6, so we got to ride it together.
We got churros, but the shimmer and glimmer churros do have dairy so none for me. We got the Slinky Dog Dash LL moved up, so we did that. We did a photo with BB-8. We had lunch at the Brown Derby. I had the tomato risotto, with brussel sprouts “enhancement”, and a squash soup to start, with an old-fashioned followed by a manhattan. Divine. We got a coconut chocolate tarte and it was amazing, too. I didn’t even have a headache after. Hard to believe. A. had chicken and some fruit slices I think. We got a LL for Toy Story Mania, and we shopped until that came up. We got two chains and two loops (a heart and one with a mickey) that can be used to hold a few charms each on a chain as a pendant. We dumped the duffel with jackets in a locker. We hung out in Munciberg (Pixar Place where the entry to Midway Mania used to be) waiting for Rise, which broke down a few minutes before our time frame, but then reopened in time for us to do it before leaving the park. We remembered to stop at the locker.
We did not have time to go back to the hotel before our dinner at Morimoto. R. and I had the gingerbread drink, which was tasty, and we had “Fox’s Wedding” which we really should reproduce. They had blue fin, 3 grades by fattiness. We liked the leanest one best because we are apparently heathens. We understand why people like the fattiest — it is like eating butter.
The kids each got orange chicken, sauce on the side. A. was not excited about the rice. R. and I ate their bok choy veg. Yum. We each had sushi. T. didn’t care for the chicken but liked the rice. A. loved the chicken. The chicken was divine. A. ordered a churro, which had butter in it, but wound up taking some home in a box because we were all too full. A. had a huge headache and was super exhausted. Over 22K steps on my apple watch.
R. and T. went to Sarasota to visit Gerry.
My sister and her family went to Tampa to visit friends.
Also! Today we checked out of VGF and R. and T. dropped everything off at bell services at BCV.
