R. took A. in. I drove out to the house and got there early enough to do a partial walk (after slogging through some serious mud) and discuss cork tile orientation. Later, I got to participate in a discussion of how to handle the corners of the pool steps and pool ramp. Ah, the exciting stuff. I mean, it’s important. And honestly, tricky! It’ll be really lovely.

There was a sample of the Anvil Kratos with and without the Durata coating, because apparently NR really wanted to be sure before ordering, which, fair. This isn’t cheap stuff. Also, it is extremely cool.

I met the new VP at the builder. He seemed nice. It’s kind of wild just getting new members of the management team showing up at the OAC / MEPFP meetings as part of their orientation to their job. I think some earlier version of me would have gotten at least a little bit nervous, but now, I’m mostly just, okay, what are you like. They all are trying so hard to make a good impression and honestly, they don’t need to. They’re all fine, because SK hired them, and he’s hiring a bunch of mini-mes (not of _me_, of him) and they’re all fine. But I also kind of appreciate that they are trying so hard to make a good impression, because I will probably never feel like anyone should be trying that hard on my behalf.

I got back in time to retrieve A., and after I got her home and we got food in front of her we went over to Rapscallion’s for dinner. I got the fish and chips, which was awesome, altho I don’t know that I’ll order that again because I am pretty sure there’s enough milk involved there to be a little bit of an issue. Not a huge issue. But a little bit.

CM and my son, separately, both reached out about various matters monetary. R. did indeed get the wifi access point moved and things are working much better now. Woot!
