Saturday was kinda tough, but got better
Dec. 6th, 2025 09:58 pmI went grocery shopping. It was snowing lightly when M. came over so we just had a visit. Later, I went for a one mile walk by myself while listening to an Odd Lots podcast. That was nice.
I had a delightful phone conversation with JC.
The B. family came over for dinner. It was really fun! We cooked steaks and chicken, and there were baked potatoes and rice, asparagus, and a raw veg platter with semi-fancy crackers and Sabra hummus. We had apple crisp and a bumbleberry pie that they brought. We had a really nice time, and A. hung out before and after food, so it was great social for her, too.
The tough part was when T. came over and we slogged through all the reporting of the incident. He drove me over to the police department to file a report. The officer was very nice about the whole thing. On the whole, we got through a lot, and the biggest problem was that Equifax popped an error when he attempted to freeze his credit through the website; someone may have already started to impersonate him over there, it’s not clear. When we tried to print things to mail in, the printer was deeply uncooperative, so R. went over to the library to print stuff out over there, but by the time he was done the post office was closed so that won’t get started until Monday.
A. wants to make egg tarts, so I need to go back to Stop and Shop tomorrow and buy evaporated milk. I’m going to get regular, and also coconut so that I can have some, too.
