MK on minimal sleep
Dec. 21st, 2024 11:00 pmWe got up in time to go to our lunch reservation at the Skipper Canteen. We’d been in text communication, and no one else had any problems so I at least didn’t have to deal with anything other than the flight down. We met B and R in front of Jingle Cruise so we got to do that together, which was awesome, then we all had lunch at the Skipper Canteen, also, yummy. Post-lunch, B+R, A and I toured together. Here are my notes:
“Haunted House after together. Peter Pan together. They did Small World while we went to the bathroom.
Shula’s was fantastic as always and also, inevitably, the most expensive dinner of the trip. Start big and everything else seems reasonable by comparison. I had the blackened snapper and it was amazing.
After dinner, B and I went back to the park and did Space Mountain, Seven Dwarfs, Big Thunder Mountain RR and Tiana’s Bayou. All fun. Made me feel like the day really paid off after a slow start.”
I had bought the Premier Pass for everyone, and I’m really glad I did. Without that, it would have been an incredibly difficult day. R and A did Buzz Lightyear and Carousel of Progress while B and I did Tron. I saw someone doing Tron “full Jesus mode” (sitting upright arms straight out to the side like on a cross), and was like, OK, I gotta do that. I did, and I am here to tell you that doing that requires core muscles that I have, but only just. I was sore the next day.
