Wednesday: soup
Sep. 18th, 2024 02:42 pmI walked with M., but no indoor visit.
T. is now sick also. Oh well! We’ll decide tomorrow what to do about Friday’s concert.
I cooked the chicken yesterday in the evening, and R. just put the pan and all into the fridge. I took it out today and moved it to a rubbermaid and noticed a lot of delicious gelatin. So today’s lunch was the last of the gnocchi, some garlic and shallots, parsley, cauliflower, chicken breast, water, vinegar, soy sauce, hot sauce, black pepper. Chicken soup with gnocchi! Super yum! Not appreciably more difficult than opening a can or thawing out something from the freezer. Today Walkitout is Contemplating Past Walkitout and the past from there to here and wondering what’s going to happen when the pre-purchased three years of Siena Farms ends (soonish). Am I going to go back to eating consumer packaged goods style? Will I be shopping at Farm Stands? Who even knows anymore.
Still don’t have my car back, and apparently the other rear tire needs to be replaced and they don’t have another mobility kit in stock. I don’t really care; I can always drive the van. (Hey, thanks for dithering on whether to keep the van, past walkitout! Sometimes indecisiveness pays off.)
I did have a phone convo with J., for a bit over an hour before my throat got too sore. Very nice!
