I had tea and a piece of bread from the Montreal IGA with peanut butter from the jar I brought from home for breakfast. I had tea I brought from home, using water from the Jettle I brought from home. Was it worth it vs. going out? Who knows! But after a few days of freely eating things made with butter, I had enough consequences to back up and be slightly more careful about my food choices.
R. and I stopped in Ziba and looked at the lamps again. We’ve settled on the blue color, but the woman at the shop will be looking to see whether she has the 6 globe chandelier in stock. Fingers crossed. The 8 looks too big, and the 4 too small. ETA: She does! Woot! We stopped by later, paid for it, and then also bought A. a pink handbag and A. and I. pink and purple wrap/scarves.
We stopped at Simons and bought hoodies for A. and I. and a thin flannel button down shirt for R.
We then walked down and down and down and bought a pretty expensive but super cool painting by Raynald Leclerc. I took a picture of it in the window Monday evening, because it looked amazing and it’s clearly going to be tricky to situate correctly, but when viewed from the right distance and correct lighting it is absolutely awesome. It will be shipped to us. Woot!
We also went to lunch. We tried to go to La Buche, but it had a line so we carried on and went to L’Omelette. I had the two egg breakfast and it was great. A. had the pancakes this time, but one was enough and there were three. Yikes!
