Monday: construction meetings, tile
Jul. 15th, 2024 11:00 pmToday is meeting day, so I drove A. in and picked her up. Which is fine — she naps a little on the way home.
I did the long walk by myself when it cooled down a little in the evening. M. came for a visit but it was too hot to walk.
I picked out tile for A.’s shower, and discussed that vs. no tile as an option. I’ve been trying to get someone to nail down what the shower pan is, because I don’t think it should be me, but I’m not getting any traction from anyone.
I told my sister a long time ago that I was going to try to make it so her bathroom had no tile, because we both dislike it. I’m looking at shower enclosures, panels, solid surface. There are lots of options (altho sadly, nothing in the US in pink that I can find, so none of this is great for A.). I found a curbless custom solid surface pan, and emailed that around to find out what people think then went to talk to R. about it. I _thought_ he understood that A.’s bathroom is curbed and tiled, but he thought this pan idea was for her. NO. *sigh* It’s possibly for us, probably for my sister, conceivably for top floor bathrooms.
