I did not go for a walk.

Piano was virtual, because A. is sick and so is the piano teacher.

I made cookies again with the cocoa nibs. Yum!

I further decluttered my side of the walkin closet. I put some things out in the donation box (doesn’t fit or isn’t comfortable or I literally would go buy something else rather than wear it), and I also did some vacuuming and organizing of both the luggage and the shoes. Everything is back to fitting nicely into its spaces. I also moved the things in my closet that T. needs to get at sometimes (zyrtec, benadryl, and dropping off receipts) to other locations. The OTC meds went into the hall closet, and I put a box on a table in the hall for receipts to be dropped off. It’s not that I don’t want him in my space; it’s more a matter of not _making_ him wait until he can come into this space to do things he needs to do. Moving them to a shared location is better for everyone.

Not too long ago, I sent a certified letter to someone who came to our property out in Florence and blocked in the architect and the engineer and then verbally harassed them. It was a Official Notice of Trespass — basically, hey, don’t come onto the property. I didn’t understand until after I sent it that I was supposed to send it return receipt requested. In the event, it didn’t matter, because he refused the certified mail (and would presumably have done the same thing if we’d sent it return receipt).

I _was_ going to just call it quits and not resend it the correct way, on the theory that it doesn’t really need to be on file at the police department in Northampton. However, someone who refused certified mail is not someone I want to give the benefit of the doubt to. So I’ll be looking into alternate ways of getting that notice to the trespasser.

In the meantime, I’m keeping the returned letter, and will probably send an email to the records department at Northampton PD to ask for any advice they may have on what to try next. Obviously, I could hire a process server and presumably this is something that the sheriff will do if I follow the correct procedure. Learning something new every day!
