Monday: kid still home sick, walks
Mar. 6th, 2023 11:00 pmI did one loop by myself; I did one with M. We did not have an indoor visit. A. is still home sick.
T. and I got through his camp application, updating answers and uploading current physical and immunizations. I emailed about whether to go with the CIT or the Teen Echo option (we have reservations on both) and was asked to wait a week for the decision. Totally fine by me!
I made cookies! I had some white beans I’d cooked, so I took a quarter cup of that, and of cocoa powder and mushed them together pretty good. 1/4 cup of brown sugar. An egg. 1 Tbsp vegan butter. Vanilla. Oatmeal to get the texture to about what I wanted. A little baking potassium. The resulting cookie looked right and smelled good and tasted good, without being particularly sweet. Woot! This won’t be the recipe I settle on, but this will absolutely solve the I Want A Cookie With My Tea But I Don’t Want That Much Sugar. Also, when I do want that much sugar, there’s fake ice cream to go with.

I had three not particularly satisfying phone calls with MIL. I called her twice, and then she called me. I don’t think either of us is happy about it so I’m planning on ignoring her for a few months. I won’t succeed, but I will try.
