Friday: 3 mile loop
Aug. 5th, 2022 11:00 pmI got my car today! I originally pre-ordered (deposit on paypal and everything) in June 2021, and did the configuration part of the pre-order in November 2021. I finally got to sit in one in March? I think? And this week I paid for it and picked it up.
It rained really hard while I was driving home — an inch or more of standing water on the roadway, water wings coming off the sides of the cars. Yikes! Fortunately, A. found it amusing, so she did not amplify negative emotions or anything which would have been hard to manage.
Oddly, R.’s longtime friend B. also picked up his new car today, after trying for more or less the same amount of time.
Friday with Friends was highly enjoyable. Altho there was a brief power outage. !!! And also, zoom quit working on the Portal, and unplugging and plugging back in and trying different networks did not help, so I uninstalled and reinstalled and that fixed whatever was wrong. *shrug*
I had a visit with M. (No walk, it was too hot during the day)
I had a delightful phone convo with K.
