We had one full day at Universal. We did not get up for early entry, because the rides that are open are either not interesting to us, or we’ve done them plenty of times already. Lunch was at Mythos, and was excellent. I thought I had a dinner reservation for all 12 of us at Jake’s, however, I hadn’t gotten a reminder and I got concerned. I’d called it in in December, and failed to reach the restaurant. I had called concierge instead and asked them to set it up for me, but I never got a confirmation anything. I guess I really should have checked that! Oh well. At 4ish, it was impossible to set up anything in a time frame compatible with most / all of us being there, so we gave up and started brainstorming, while continuing to snack and drink in the lounge. Also, we’d rushed back from UO to meet C., who was my neighbor in the condo years ago. She was supposed to meet us in December, but wasn’t feeling well. She’d texted earlier in the trip, saying she was at Kenney Space Center Visitor Center, and was thinking of a years ago convo with A. about stars and wondering if A. still was interested in space. I told her we were in Orlando, and we hatched a plan to meet up, and today was the day.

M had the parlor suite, so I proposed we move the whole party (or everyone who wanted to do so — one of the girls wanted to go to the pool, and her mom was DONE with everything, but willing to take her daughter to the pool after dark, which honestly, strikes me as the only time I’d want to be at a pool in Orlando anyway) to the parlor suite, and delegate people to go down to Jake’s and do a takeout order. So we did, altho it wound up being two groups, because there were stragglers. But it was a real party, 11 people, from 4 households, eating and drinking and chatting and having a very merry time! Great way to wind up the trip.
