Transition Day! We got everything packed up and able to do it all ourselves in one trip, which was amazing because we still had a lot of food including a full cooler bag. R. got up way late because he was confused about our departure plans. Oh well!
We got checked in, and bought the tickets that needed to be bought, and got everyone’s lanyards set up. It happened in stages, which was nice, because I didn’t have 10 people standing around waiting for me to get through the process. I even got the annual pass discount on the tickets for one group!
Everyone but R. (cycling) and T. (touring on his own) met up at Confisco Grille. It turned out that one person had a massage appointment at Portofino at 2, with a checkin time of 130, and our lunch was at 1215. I learned this when I was dealing with lanyards at 10ish. *sigh* It was supposed to be at GF while we were at the World, but the scheduling didn’t work, so here we were. I figured, okay, let’s get us all to Confisco and see if we can make it work. The other family had headed in and was already doing rides, but they happened to walk past Confisco while we were standing there negotiating moving our lunch earlier, so we all went in around 1130, entirely fixing the scheduling issue. Yay!
We did Spiderman a couple times, and then the kids rode Forbidden Journey a lot. Some of them also rode Flight of the Hippogriff. I watched bags, except for one round of Spiderman. I’ve been on these rides a lot.
One family stayed in the park pretty late, but massage appointment, spouse and son joined R. and I in Orchid Lounge. That was really nice. Their other child and my daughter had dinner at Jake’s; I was up front with the hostess and she seemed fine with it. We went down later and helped them fill in the tip for the room charge. It was a really nice day!
