Wednesday: walk, lego sorting
Aug. 4th, 2021 01:04 pmI watched today’s Monsters at Work episode with A.
A. walked with M. and me.
I have been sorting through the legos (still waiting for some) that I ordered to do the Discworld build, updating the Discworld wanted list on BrickLink because I am now certain I will have to do at least one more order to get everything I need. One of the 6 orders has already sent me email saying that they were unable to fulfill some of the pieces; they are sending a minifig instead. As if I even care about minifigs, unlike apparently everyone else. Oh well!
A really interesting study of breakthrough cases in Israel, here:

Obviously, things are a little different with the delta variant, but this is pretty reassuring. Very small number of breakthrough infections, many of them from a patient on ventilation at the hospital before they were identified as having covid. Several of the infections were asymptomatic throughout the entire infection. There was some long covid (6+ weeks with some kind of symptom), but it doesn’t sound like any of it was particularly severe. It was a _prospective_ study of healthcare workers, so a really, really good study design.
