Monday: sunbasket lunch, lego
Jul. 26th, 2021 02:48 pmI walked with M.
I had one of the nuke-and-eat single serve meals from Sunbasket. Korean beef japchae with glass noodles, kale and mushrooms. There’s enough there to be filling (600 calories on the label) but not a crazy amount of sodium (700) and dairy free so it seemed worth a try. It was good; I added a salad.
The Siena CSA arrived today, so I cooked mushrooms and kale and delivered summer squash to one neighbor and am trying to get the beets to another. The fridge is now really full — even after R. went to Roche yesterday, it was really empty. The Sunbasket delivery got it to normal full, and the CSA has made it tricky. It should be fine in a day or two, tho.
I pulled the 2019 and 2020 Lego Star Wars Advent Calendar boxes out of the basement. I had alternate build instructions using those kits, free off of rebrickable and wanted to try doing some of the builds. Unfortunately, while there are a bunch of alternate builds, they are mutually mostly incompatible, as they all use a particular 2 or 3 pieces. I did the porg in an exo suit with a jetpack and a walker, because those were pretty cool, and I modded each slightly. Then I dismantled the bird pets brickheadz (I think it’s the parakeets, altho the label says Budgie, but I think that parakeets and budgerigars are actually different words for the same bird) that the kids assembled on Saturday and put it in a zippie for a future guest. I’ll do the goldfish pets in a bit, probably. I’m debating between getting ready for this evening’s picture taking, or sorting through more star wars advent legos.
ETA: I had the other single serve sunbasket for dinner — the lamb tagine. It was really good. We went over to Nara park to have our annual picture taking thing, and met T. there.
