Wednesday: a visit from my niece

R.’s niece M. came over for a dinner visit with her grandmother, and so we all got to hang out. We had burgers, and a bunch of other things out of the fridge (cole slaw, ham, etc.). I also cooked the remaining golden flame beets — turns out M. likes beets also.

I got my short walk, but the visit was of uncertain timing, so I skipped the long walk.

We got some vacuuming done, and I also washed the table cloths.
