Monday: timing walks
Jul. 12th, 2021 11:00 pmI did manage to get a walk with M. in the afternoon, and the long walk by myself later, but it looks like this Very Rainy July will require careful timing on a day-to-day basis.
We had thawed the huge ham out, so that was dinner; I made a blueberry pancake. It was delicious.
Pictures were once again rescheduled due to the on again off again rain.
I continue to reread the Kate Daniels series.
ETA: CSA share arrived, so I cooked the mushrooms and the chard. I asked MIL if she liked beets, because I know at least one of her daughters likes them so there was a good chance she does (R. and I hate beets). She does, so I air-fryered some for her dinner and she said they were good. They were orange flame beets. Neighbor will not be receiving the beets from this CSA box — we normally hand them off to her since we don’t care for them. I tossed the old coleslaw and made some new cole slaw. I’ve been having to make honey mustard dressing almost every day, which is fine, but will run through the mustard faster than usual as a result.
