Tuesday: a bit of a drive
Apr. 6th, 2021 10:38 amI drove out to Chicopee to get my first Covid shot (Moderna). It was uneventful. The nurse (woman) who gave me the shot was very professional. The woman who checked me in was friendly. The pharmacy woman who double-checked the insurance issue the woman who checked me in flagged was prompt and efficient (no problems — not sure what the issue was. I did have to fill in info manually on CVS vs choosing from the menu drop down and also, we will have different insurance for the second shot, as we transition from Cobra to private-pay).
There was no traffic to speak of going there or coming back. R. put gas in the van before I left (it was a bit of a stretch to do it in the i3, and I didn’t feel like risking it as it was all highway miles).
I walked with M. in the morning.
I had a great phone call with J. before heading out for the shot.
R. cooked the lamb roast so I had a nice dinner.
I did the long walk by myself, and called JH — we’re going to try to get together for a screened porch get-together in May on one of her non-hospital weekends, as she will be every-other-week at that point. It was a _delight_ to talk to her.
I had a lovely phone call with K.
My arm is a bit sore, and I am a little tired so I am going to bed early.
