Siena Farms (pantry and mushroom flex) share arrived. There were some pickled beets and a LOT of onions which were not going to get used; I let some neighbors know, and then dropped the mostly empty share box with the pickled beets, 4 onions, a couple carrots and some radishes off on their door step. So efficient!

Imperfect Foods arrived, so I cooked swiss chard, red kale and a lot of mushrooms. I made red sauce yesterday, and that’s all in addition to making meals as those come around, so I’ve been a little busy. It’s nice, tho — once the ingredients are cooked, they are easy to include in meals so I eat more vegetables and it’s easier.

T. came home to say that after quite a stretch of no covid at the high school, his teacher, 3 students and a couple aides in his classroom are all close contacts of a confirmed case. Yet somehow, he is not. *sigh* Fingers crossed. I asked him if he wanted to go back to remote, but he said no. This was always my issue with returning while covid is still generating a need to quarantine due to exposure — it’s like Bad People on Airplanes. It’s not that I am worried about being part of a terrible, newsworthy airline event; they are super rare. It’s that Bad People on Airplanes guarantees that everyone will have to deal with the resulting security precautions. _I_ _support_ _the_ _precautions_, and quarantines and all the rest. But still, it just seems easier to be remote. OTOH, he’s way happier in person, and his conversational skills are improving _rapidly_ so there’s that.

I took a nap after all the cooking ; it was glorious. I did 5 miles of walking yesterday so I think I’m still a little tired today. So far, only one with M., but I am optimistic I will yet get out again.
