Feb. 13th, 2021

I know everyone else counts from March 11, 2020, when WHO officially said it was a pandemic. But I count from Friday the 13th of March. Because (school shutdown mostly). It has been eleven months.

We are not safe.

The insurrectionist was acquitted — even tho there was broad, bipartisan acknowledgement that he had done what he was accused of doing, and even tho the number of members of his own party who voted to convict him was larger than for any other impeachment ever.

The pandemic is not over — even tho we have vaccines, and cases are down around the country.

It is, however, starting to feel like one day we will go back to living something resembling our Before Times lives. Not exactly the same, but every year changes many things.

I took T. to martial arts. He will probably be testing for green belt in a few weeks. Hard to believe we have been doing this since 2017 (I have not checked, but he says he has).

I know many people who have gotten one, and a few people who have gotten both, shots.

The future trips that have been loitering on the calendar (the rescheduled cruise, another trip to Disney, etc.) actually are looking like they might really happen.

I walked with M. I did the one mile loop by myself twice. I chatted with my sister.
