Before T-Day, the dojo closed because of one of these (kid at the school whose parent had been exposed, but at the point in time the dojo heard, the kid and the parent had not yet had tests / received results nor did they have symptoms). Now we have one. Yay. There are pretty limited paths into our family. We’ve had scares via my walking partner, obviously, we have traveled and thus have all that ambiguity, and now we have the final entry point. I had thought, going into T-weekend, that we would be on hiatus from that route, but then all their plans were canceled and it seemed fine to continue on as usual. Alas! It was not. The direct exposure was the kids to a person who is waiting on test results and has no symptoms, so basically, we get to wait for several days regardless before we do anything at all, and every possibility can make that longer / worse.

Snow storm predicted for tomorrow, so, you know, no real temptation to do anything. Also, T.’s martial arts lesson is already canceled. A little unclear what I should do about swimming next week. Obviously, if the middle person (the person exposed to someone with a positive test) gets a positive result, then we cancel swimming and next week’s martial arts and do absolutely nothing for a while. But if the middle person gets a negative, T.’s swimming lesson is on the last day that they are supposed to be not doing anything, so if they have no symptoms at that point and a negative test, it would seem like T. would be good to go swimming.

Whatever. I got the news _after_ I walked with M. I called her mother and discussed it with her for a bit, as M.’s parents are in high risk groups. She is always completely sweet about everything and said exactly what I expected her to say.

I think I will be skipping tomorrow’s walk and visit, due to the storm, and email M. to make sure she understands.

Fancy Friday was extra special welcome; zoom cocktails do NOT need to be canceled, which remains delightful in every way.

Oh, and I have started taking everyone’s temp again daily, and that automatically logs to the kinsa app.
