I emailed M. explaining the news I received. We would not have walked regardless due to the snow, but we will skip the visit for today for sure.
R. got everything into the mail yesterday, so other than one or two stray cards, I think we are pretty much set with the holiday cards / photo mailers. There is more holiday shopping to do, however, it is mostly going to be gift cards and similar.
T.’s Spend Time with the Fam project so far has included a small amount of legos, and two small jigsaw puzzles, as well as Uno Attack and the card game War. Oh, there was a game of Nuclear War in there also. A little blast from the past. Har de har har.
Anyway. I was not even sure if we had appropriately sized and pictured jigsaws for him. We started with one of those wooden 3 D puzzles (a wolf from the Yellowstone trip a couple years ago). Then I found some Disney puzzles in the basement that had not yet made it to donation, so we opened those up, did a Mickey soccer puzzle (150 pieces). He wanted it framed, so I put it up in his room. Today was a Cars puzzle (same 150 piece size). We are going to move up to one of the 500 piece puzzles next, a very nice Mickey and Minnie dressed up fancy at a Parisian sidewalk cafe.
I baked a butternut squash; it may become soup later on today.
I also baked a couple large celery roots; they will likely become mashed later on today.
I had the last two lamb tamales for lunch. Not sure what dinner will be, but I cooked some rice to have turkey fried rice, so probably that.
