Addressing the holiday cards is always a little daunting. But it is a completely worthwhile activity, because it means that at least one time during the year, I bring people’s physical addresses up to date, which is handing for future travel planning. If you do not realize someone moved, and then you visit their city and fail to see them, it is a bummer! Not that I am traveling any time soon. We can dream, tho, of future years and future trips.

Anyway. I am also collecting various packages that I have been meaning to ship so that I can bring those to the post office when I drop off the stack of cards. It might be more than one trip. I still do not have the photos, so not sure when photo mailers will be going out.

R. only put the white lights on the tree this year, leaving me with multiple strings of colored lights begging to be put up ... somewhere. They are perched precariously around the dining room. It is kinda cool, however, I have ordered a ton of small hooks that I think I will put up on or just under the molding and suspend lights from there. Possibly as a permanent feature of the room.

A. came into the dining room after the lights went up to take a selfie in “the Christmas room”. Which is a Fine name for the room.

M. and I walked before it started raining. T. has gone off with the sitter, which I am grateful for, even tho sad that she had a lonely T-weekend, it worked in our favor in terms of risk levels.

ETA: Simultaneously with posting this, I got an email from the photographer saying she had the photos for the photo mailer and offering to drop them off tomorrow. Wooot! Looks like they should arrive everywhere in time!
