Friday: In Which We Return Home

R. was going to try to get a final bike ride but decided that packing up the car would be exercise enough. Sensible! We ate lunch at the house (finished off the burgers R. made the day before so A. could have one — R. had the rest of the steak). I cleaned out the fridge. We got everything packed up except R.’s hat which he left behind by accident and did not notice until one of our stops at a rest area.

We stopped at several rest areas, because gas, snacks, and A. wanted Dippin’ Dots and we kept seeing vending machines and they kept not working. *sigh* We eventually stopped at a McDonald’s to get dinners (a 2 burger day! I have not had one of those in a long time).

We did Fancy Friday! Started 45 minutes late. It was super pleasant, tho.

We unpacked and I started some laundry.

Texting with owner of the rental house; she found the hat, was happy with the state of the house, and told us the storm did indeed come in. So we left at the right time. Yay!
